Writing 201: Poetry 2 & 3 – Journey, Trust

Two days of poetry submissions cranked out in a jiffy. Trying to stay current. First topic is journey, limerick form with alliteration. Second is trust, acrostic form with internal rhyme. Here goes…

Journey
Each journey begins with one step
You say you used up all your pep
But no matter the timing
There’re mountains worth climbing
Let’s go–we’re not giving up… yet!

Trust
Timid tween, dancing queen
Rushing water, swollen stream
Unsure feet on mossy green,      slipping, tripping
Shaking, taking strong man-hand
Terrified leap to held

I know what I’m thinking. What comes to mind when you read them? Thanks for playing along.
